Guesstimation. Tally up your hours or what you expect to get paid, and tithe off of that. Then correct it if you need to when you actually have the money in hand. I tithe from gross too, not net income. If I tithe from net, I would need to tithe on my income tax return also.

I do tithe my income tax too. That one's easy! :D

See, I don't just earn hourly wages...I also get mileage, on-call hours and call pay. I never know what amount of hours I'll be working from week to week until I tally them at the end of a two week period. Too confusing to start tallying up all the variables.

I've decided to tithe according to the previous month's wages each month as I will know exactly what to tithe that way.

This time of the year, in particular, I find myself thanking God over and over for the beauty of the day/night. I am surrounded by so many wonderful sights here and the fall is when this country just lights up like a flame! So many hardwoods....like a colorful quilt on the mountainsides.

God has blessed me so very much and I'm praying that you all find the peace and light that you desire as you follow God's will for your lives. :love

in regards to tithing... I give once I have been paid, so every 2 weeks.

THis is my favorite time of year as well.

I tithe 10% at least of what I get. I normally only put it in 1x a month since I'd rather put a large amount in 1x, than 4 (or 5) smaller amounts during the month. And, to keep from spending it, I put it in an envelop.

It is not always easy. There are times when I could really use that money. But, when I struggle to put it in, God ALWAYS provides for me. I have prayed, Lord, you know I need to buy hay, and this money would go a long way towards getting it. Then, I'll get a call asking if I'd like hay for $2.00 per bale. Or, they have some RBs, and need the trailer, can I use it if they let me have it cheaper. Or, if I need it for feed, I'll get a coupon in the mail. Or someone will call and ask if I can barn sit. And, the amount that I end up saving or making is ALWAYS more than what I put in. You cannot out give God.

I could use some prayers right now. Last night, I had the worst vertigo attack I've had in years. Even moving my head was making me dizzy. I could not get up and go to the bathroom. I finally lowered myself and my pillow onto the floor. I'd crawl a few feet or inches until I got too dizzy, then lay back down w/my head on the pillow until I was able to move a bit more. Hubby offered to carry me, but I would have been too dizzy to sit on the throne by the time we got there.

You poor thing. I'll be thinking of you today. :hugs I hate being dizzy, so that would have made me physically ill.

We tithe on the gross as well.

Malachi 3:10,11

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. 11I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit, says the Lord Almighty.

Also, look at Haggai 1. The people were supposed to be rebuilding the temple, and weren't. So, this is what God told them.

7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; consider your ways.
8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.
9 Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when you brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
10 Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.
11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.

And also, Matthew 6:25-34. We're told not to worry because God will take care of us-as long as we're seeking His will. He's promised: Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
