Thank you everyone you are all wonderful. It is really nice knowing there are people out there who you've never met who are willing to pray for you when you need it. Today is one of the lately many days I could really use it.
If I could reach all the way down to Northern Arkansas I'd give ya a big hug and but I guess cyberspace will have to do :) :hugs

Ecclesiastes 3:1-13. Words never so more true for so many circumstances.

My new favorite song :) Here's the lyrics. Look it up sometime, Casting Crowns. They performed it in Tupelo when I went, and it's a beautiful song. It kind of parallels some of the mess that has been going on around here too. Our lack of forgiveness, lack of understanding each other, lack of trying... I heard this on the radio today, and just thought, as a Christian, what lengths should we go to to try to understand others? Or would we just do like everyone else and take the easy way out, and write them all off? What would our Savior have us do? I figure alot of folks will find this post mildly amusing due to all that has happened here, but what if this had happened in your church? your family? your marriage? your job? The lead singer of the group says he gets told alot that his songs resemble sermons. I say sermons are the way Christians learn to walk....or perhaps not...maybe some of us keep making the same mistakes over and over again? Just something to think about..... what's your "city on the hill?"

Did you hear of the city on the hill?
Said one old man to the other
It once shined bright and it would be shining still
But they all started turning on each other

You see, the poets thought the dancers were shallow
And the soldiers thought the poets were weak
And the elders saw the young ones as foolish
And the rich man never heard the poor man speak

And one by one, they ran away
With their made up minds, to leave it all behind
And the light began to fade, in the city on the hill
The city on the hill

Each one thought that they knew better
That they were different by design
Instead of standing strong together
They let their differences divide

And one by one, they ran away
With their made up minds, to leave it all behind
And the light began to fade, in the city on the hill
The city on the hill

And the world is searching still

But it was the rhythm of the dancers
That gave the poets life
It was the spirit of the poets
That gave the soldiers strength to fight
It was the fire of the young ones
It was the wisdom of the old
It was the story of the poor man
That needed to be told

It is the rhythm of the dancers
That gives the poets life
It is the spirit of the poets
That gives the soldiers strength to fight
It is the fire of the young ones
It is the wisdom of the old
It is the story of the poor man
That's needing to be told

One by one, we'll be running away
With our made up minds to leave it all behind
As the light begins to fade, in the city on the hill
The city on the hill

One by one, we'll be running away
With our made up minds, to leave it all behind
As the light begins to fade, in the city on the hill
The city on the hill

Come home
And the Father's calling still
Come home
To the city on the hill
Come home

This just jumped out at me. Wow, just rereading it strikes me at so many levels.

New here and missed the goings on.

Thank you for sharing that.
