Aww come on everybody, ever read "The Shack?" God is a big black momma with a big smile and an attitude:)
I LOVE that book!!!! You know, many Christians took umbrage over that book because of that depiction of God? I guess they couldn't understand a fictionalized character in a fiction book.

Wanna, I think the genetic abnormalities to which you refer entered the world and afflicted humans with the entrance of sin, didn't they? At least, that's what I've always been taught....man was created perfect, in His image, but was afflicted with disease and other byproducts of sin when the fruit of the tree had been consumed. He lost his immortality at that moment and started to age, deteriorate, etc.

Yeah that's pretty much where I believe it came from. The tower of Babel incident seemingly escalated the whole fiasco. Sin is the common denominator to such huge changes and we bring it on ourselves. Dang serpent with his smart mouth got us all in trouble :P

I need to get that book. Sounds entertaining. Which reminds me...what do you all think of Harry Potter? My mother won't let my niece watch it "because it's witchcraft" I told her I suppose Cinderellas "fairy god mother" was just fiction then huh? :P Anyway, it irks me :/
