I've seen in many places too ... Sometimes three crosses, and sometimes one. I have driven across the US coast to coast several times, and I always wanted to take pics of the ones I saw on the way.
Just wanted to point out though, this one wasn't like that. The ones I've always noticed were just that -- to BE noticed. This one I posted was nearly impossible to see and I talked to people who drove by it often and never knew it was there. Even after telling them, they cant even find it because it's so hard to spot and is on the peak of one of a series of many mountaintops. That was the longest zoom I could get, from the road below. You can't even see the ridge I mentioned that runs all the way up, it's so close (compared to viewing from the road below with naked eye).
I do love seeing those crosses on the highway as I'm driving ... The permanent ones put up to be seen by all.

Nothing else makes me feel that way, and I don't ever want the feeling to end, and when it does start to subside...I immediately feel a loss and a longing for that feeling, that closeness to Him. If I could walk around with that all day every day I rather think folks wouldn't like me...I'd be "too bubbly" for everybody
I do thoroughly enjoy it though
