God is so good. Got a totally unexpected bill in the mail the other day. Had no way to pay it and I'll admit to being worried. I prayed about it and this morning I decided to leave it in God's hands. I figured He'd either provide the money for it, or have them decide we didn't owe the money. Well, they decided we didn't owe the money! It's amazing how God works when you don't get in His way.

I've got several people I care about who need real help for various reasons......some of them are really worrying me. I'm about to start my 'on week' followed by 3 days of overtime I was asked to do. I agreed to do it, after talking it over with DH. Not only will it give us more $ for the used tractor we want to get, but it will keep me away from home and force others to be responsible (I hope).
I will look at it as a blessing. I have a super easy job and I can do whatever I want, unless I have to open the bridge for a boat, so I can use the time to pray extra and study the new coarse in herbal studies I'm into. Might as well be happy if at all possible.

I've got a question to something that has always puzzled me. Why do so-called Christian religions develop elaborate rituals and customs that were never described in the Bible nor stated by Christ that they should be done or observed? I know of only two that Christ had indicated should be done/offered by the church on a regular basis and that was communion and baptism.

Who decided that those other rituals were a part of Christianity and why would they insist on them, I wonder?

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask for prayers for my daughters step-son. James is 7 years old and was diagnosed yesterday with Ewing's Sarcoma ( bone cancer) he will be starting chemo next week. Doctors said he has a 75% chance of 5 years,( not quite sure what that means, can someone explain)

Please lift James, his dad Jim, his mom,( do not remember her name right now):/ and my daughter Jennifer before the Lord, for strength, courage, and peace. They are as you can imagine stunned,fearful.

A lot of rituals/traditions, were transfered over from pagan religions, to ease the conversion of people with pagan roots, over to Christianity. Just a few examples...Christmas trees, Easter eggs, and Easter bunnies, are all a part of our traditional "religious" holidays now, but they originated from similar pagan rituals and celebrations that coincided with Christian holy days. Most people just don't know the history behind it.

I have a prayer request. I got a call a little bit ago. Some kids were shooting off firecrackers at the local 4-H fair grounds and spooked a couple of a friend's horses. They cannot find the horses, it's dark out and thundering and lightening. Please pray for the safe return of the horses.
