2. How many people are in your family? Marital status? Myself and two cats. No thanks, been there, done that.
3. How would you define self sufficiency? The ability to grow or produce most or all of the things needed to live comfortably.
4. What would you do with your spare time if you had any resources you needed? Gardening, gathering firewood, inventing
5. Have you ever built a house , or other types of building? Do you want to? Yes, several. No, i want to retire early.
6. Can you weld? Steel, aluminum, MiG, TiG, stick, Oxy-Acet? All of the above.
7. Who or what inspired you to become more self sufficient? 911, Katrina, and the rude lady from the power company.
8 Cloth or paper? Bagging groceries? Cloth. Writing a letter? Paper. Not sure about the context of this question.
9. In what ways are you self sufficient now and in what ways would you like to learn more? I am almost completely self sufficient, except for meat and dairy products.
10. In what way(s) will you never choose to become self sufficient? I doubt that i will ever have the space or the patience for meat and dairy.
11. Are you interested in stocking up for future needs? I always keep a years supply of canned and dry goods in my pantry room.
12. Where do you end up when you sink into yourself, away from the outside world? I almost always have very pleasant dreams, in which i'm surrounded by friends and family, having an adventure, finding treasures, or gem stones, or flying through the air.
13. Can you drive a farm tractor or a semi? I used to drive 18 wheelers for a living.
14. Do you make crafts or useful items? Would you want to teach others how to do these? Machines and electronics, don't really do crafts, though i admire those who do. I'm willing to teach anyone how to build any of my inventions.

16. Can you operate a lathe? Metal, wood? I would love to have a metal lathe. Never used one before.
17. Do you like to garden? If so, what do you enjoy growing? Yes! Fruits and vegetables. All of them, organically, year 'round!

21. What is your self sufficient specialty? Or what one would you like to learn? Organic gardening and solar power are my two specialties.

23. Do you do wood work? framing, finish, cabinet? All of the above for a living. Sick of getting saw dust in my nose, splinters, etc.
24. Are you interested in herbal medicine? I put more faith in them, than those toxic chemicals in pill form.
25. If you could live any place you chose, where would it be? Somewhere a little cooler, with an acre of woods, an acre of pasture, and an acre for an orchard and a garden. It would need a clean, spring fed creek running through it.

28. Are your family or friends also interested in self sufficiency? I got my brother excited about growing food, but not much else.
29. Do you like to cook? Are you interested in whole foods and natural foods? raw milk? farm fresh eggs? Yes to all of those. I love to cook and do so every day.

32. What skills do you have that help you be more self sufficient? Gardening, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry experience.

34. Do you have solar panels? Plans to use solar energy? I depend exclusively on my solar panels and live off-grid.
35 What is the mass/weight ratio of a European swallow carrying a coconut from the tropics to England? Honestly, i don't think that's possible. Fresh coconuts can weigh up to ten pounds. Even if the bird could get a good grip on it, i doubt that it would have enough lift to take off, or would tire out and drop it very soon after taking off.
36. Have you ever lived completely off grid? Would you like to? Yes, i do now and i love not having any bills.
37. In what do you trust? God, gravity, death, and taxes.
38. Do you make things yourself to save money? All the time. Built my own solar water heater, geothermal cooling, etc.
39. Has trying to be more self-sufficient changed your attitude or habits about money/spending? Yes, it has made me more thrifty with my money, and i am eating better food now, and have lost a lot of weight.
