WOW! Mine will look like that someday.........if the weather will ever make up it's mind. It was 90 yesterday and today I need a sweater and jeans.

I got all my seeds in the ground except the corn and beans and I'm gonna do a second round of lettuces in my melon bed this week so I'll get them harvested before they need to go in.

I love all the green pics though! And weeds? Where were weeds??? I think everything looks wonderful!

Oh I am soooooo excited. I found an add on CL today. The lady had it listed as a "wheat grinder". Turns out to be a Wood Magic Mill stone grinder. The price is very low. She said the cabinet needs a bit of work but the stones and motor are in great shape. I am going to see it tomorrow. I am hoping she is not missing any pieces.

Kids and I decorated white grocery store eggs tonight. They loved it. Lots of die and rubber bands involved.

I made the GF lemon bar recipe. :hide Very yummy. I split it in half. Two 8 x 8 glass pans. It turned out wonderful. I'm going to take one to the in laws for Easter.

I had to cull a chick today. It had been standing in one spot for days. Looking very off. This morning it looked as if the other chicks had been pecking at its feathers. Very yucky!! :sick

Not much else going on. Weeding the garden. Filling in seeds where there are bare spots.

Broody hen is still doing well.

That's about it.

Well see ya tomorrow.

:fl hope the grinder works out! That would be awesome for you. I'm still on the lookout for one. How are your poults? How big are they now?

Good luck on the grinder :fl

We are doing our eggs this afternoon, I hate the mess. And arguments. Why do kids argue over fun stuff? :smack

Bummer about the chick :(

I am keeping my fingers crossed on the grinder. I hope she has all the parts and pieces. The cabinet can be repaired but I don't want to have to buy everything else.

Turkey poults seem scrawny. I am not sure if its because they are in with the HUGE creepy meats or they are not getting enough to eat because of the HUGE creepy meats.

I m trying to think of a solution to move them. I need another coop or small run. :barnie

My dh is gonna strangle me.
Dace the eggs went ok. I only bought two dozen and told the kids they could do 5 each. But then Dad only did one so they got bonus eggs. We did have a bit of bickering at the end but it was smoothed over with lemon bars. :D

Well got it. :ya

I went and bought the Magic Mill today. I am pretty sure it is an oldie. The label says Filer Idaho. The later ones were made in Utah.

I found an LDS blog where the young lady spoke very highly about the grinder. I couldn't pass it up. It was 50 bucks. I think I got a great deal. I checked e bay there are 2 selling. 1 at auction and one with a buy it now of 495.00.

This is the link to the blog.

I have tried it out. I ground corn, white wheat and then rice. All worked very well.

I am so excited. I am looking forward to grinding all kinds of grains.

So do any of you have one like this?? If so do you know where I can get a manual?

Let me know.

Nice! Hope I can find something like that when I'm ready for a grinder.

I've been wanting to do that kind of thing for years, just haven't had the time. So for now, I'm living vicariously thru all of you.
