Ok so now I'm complaining. It's hot as heck here. Sticky and icky!!

I am under my house sitting in the cool garage. We are avoiding homework, chores and cooking dinner.

yea it was high 90s this week here and I tell ya, after a long hot summer it is time for a good heat break!!!! come on heat break!!!! LOL

hang in there! :)

and relax, sit back, drink some lemonade. the heat is out in full force and we don't have to fall over working in it :P

The heat i can usually tolerate. Its the humidity that is not normal. We had some moisture coming up from Mexico/Arizona. Sticky!!!

All is good. I waited on moat of my chores. :hide We will see what happens tomorrow.

Your girls are adorable, and the swing set is fabulous :)

Hope your evening has cooled off enough for the house to be bearable overnight. Nothing like sending kids off to school in the morning after a sleepless hot sticky night.
 
We are used to the humidity over here on the east coast however it's still sticky icky! FarmerChick how have the mosquitos and flies been in your area? I live next door to the dismal swamp and the skeeters are usually bad but this year they are down right deadly! I haven't let the kids play outside for days now because they will get covered in bug bites! I'm thinking of getting DH to spray but I'm worried about the ducks and chickens. TanksHill I'm sure your humidity won't last long and you will be right back to your beautiful SoCal weather! I remember when I lived in SanDiego we had a huge brush fire in chula vista and mexico. There were ashes falling from the sky! I was scared. I had a little white dog that had ash colored legs from his walks. Is the humidity keeping the brush fires down at least?
 
trip was fab. I can't go wrong sticking with the beach as a vacation :)

skeeters not a problem at my house. in fact not alot of skeeters right around me which I love lol

but my kids friend own a home more in the woods and I chatted with her a while when picking up Nicole and my legs got ate up big time in her yard. I made sure there aren't alot of big trees on my yard. Never planted many cause I didn't want to mow around them :P



this morning is downright chilly here. but the heat will come again. which is fine. indoor work.

Thanks for the sympathy everyone. I hate to complain about things. I know it could be so much worse.

Yesterday late afternoon we ended up in the yard playing in the hose. I squirted the kids as they played on the swing. We finally came inside around 7.

Dh was grumbling at bedtime. It was still about 85 in the house. He turned on the AC.

So I think I will set it high and close up the house for the day. I have not used it in a couple years but plan to today.

Maybe I can power through some house chores.

Not much else here.

One of my darn Freedom Rangers bit my toe last night. I guess they didn't get enough food yesterday. Ha we will see who has the last word on that. I also plan to run the sprinkle for the chicken today.

I picked a ton of tomatoes yesterday. No time for canning. Maybe I will puree and freeze.

Ok now I'm rambling. Guess I will get moving.
