Well as some of you may know we have no power.

I'm on my phone.

It was sitting in front of my sons school and all the radio stations went out. By the time I got home the power was off.

It was scary.

My head lamp is my new best friend.

I only made it through a couple beers. I couldn't drink them all before they started to warm.

Just kidding.

I am low on batteries.

I also need a better portable radio. I have a small wind up, the reception sucks.

Well I think the worst of it is loosing what's in the fridge. Freezers should be fine.

I didn't hear about the outage until late last night (eastern time), but I wondered if it affected you. Hope you are all powered up this morning.
 
I got power....I will send you an extension cord :lol:

i'm sure you're getting the updates and such...but if you need news let us know! hopefully you can just have a fun day with the poultry in the yard.

Did California forget to pay it's power bill? :D And I don't think beer going warm is anything to joke about... alcohol abuse!
 
Hey all, we are back on track.

I did get the call that school was cancelled today.

Today is Sophia 6 th birthday. At least now I can bake her a cake. She was all bent out of shape wondering why the power went out on her day.

My SIL went and helped an elderly Aunt last night. Antie is very old and was stranded with no gas. SIL came and got gas from us. We gave her what was in the bottom of our can. Sil had plans to go to a station. i warned her to be safe. She gave me a "pish" and said nothing was going to happen. Well an hour later she showed up with Annie following her and no new fuel. Station was closed. We siphoned a couple more gallons out of my Rhino for her. She lives about 20miles away so we wanted to make sure she would get there.

But SIL tells me that why the were getting Antie a guy was checking out the gas cans in her truck. They were still empty. She said he was looking to steal them. I hate to say I told you so.

Well I learned of a couple of preps I need to week. But over all it was fine.

Busy day today, now with 3 kids under foot.

that stinks that some power outage makes people into nasties very quickly......yup, preps are key....you want to make it thru ya take care of your own!
