Last batch, started boiling yesterday. DH will probably start pulling taps soon. I haven't helped a bit this round, lol.

That's awesome! Was this an above average year? How much syrup do you think you'll end up with altogether?

Best guess? 4-5 gallons but we have to split it with his friend that helped. Next year, we fly solo!

Well, boiling is winding down. Weather is perfect right now but looks like next week spring might actually happen, and if the trees bud, syrup making is over.
I think we'll end up with 7-8 gallons, half of which we keep. I'm over it. It's a labor of love, many, many hours of boiling.
DH made maple candy and maple sugar. I want to make maple goat milk fudge!
Next year we will do larger quantities and need to make our arch boil faster to get through it all. And we do it alone, no more giving half to people who do 10% of the work.
I will try to post more, recipes etc. Life's been in the way lately!
