i went for a quick walk to the corner and back and on the way there i saw some stuff along the road to pick up on the way back.

various things, a few 1oz bottles of booze, old lighter, part of a headlight, empty water bottle, pull top off a can, and a music cd and a bit later a broken music cd. ok, those last two items were not music cds, but the one that wasn't broken was a dvd of a rather raunchy nature which made me laugh and then the broken one was unknown as to maybe it could have been double sided music but i'm guessing it too was also a raunchy one as the title was:

Side B: Stop My A$$ is on Fire #3

both me and Mom got a good laugh out of that one.

yes, i wash my hands - Mom suggested bleach.

i went out for a few minutes to check out the gardens and take a few pictures. pretty cold and windy but also sunny.

we have flowers up (at least four of the early spring flowers): yellow and purple crocuses and blue and purple bulb irises.

i checked out the cedar trees that the deer munched on and took some pictures of those along with pictures of the south field and the drainage channel that seems to be working pretty well.

i also went inside the fenced gardens out back and took pictures in there of bare nekkid gardens and also some of the flowers coming up. things look pretty good in there. all the prep work from fall paid off and they are mostly looking great (no unexpected weeds that i noticed). :)

now that i have my website project sort of working i can actually try it out and see how it goes for putting up a few pictures...

it was warm, actually warm outside! i went out and did a little weeding to get a jump on a few speedwells and grasses that were going to drop seeds or spread more before i would likely be able to get back to them so it was a good time to spend a half hour and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine.

my first official gardening of the spring season. :) i could tell i'd not done any knee bends this past few months. at least i didn't overdo it.

Woo Hoo! It feels good, huh! (except maybe for the knees)

my knees are usuall ok, they don't normally hurt unless i do something stupid to them.

my left-knee will start to hurt if i don't get exercise - which is an old left-over from a motorcycle wipeout.

if i gradually ramp things up i can usually avoid too many troubles. :)
