Blood meal will deter deer. So will Miracle Gro Organic Fertilizer. Only lasts 5-6 weeks though, less if it rains hard.

Best option is a 6' fence they cannot see through, they won't jump it.

Blood meal i have on hand...fence uh...can't even afford to look at one right now.
 
Planted 60' of black beans (I double row them, so really 120' feet).

25' of spinach 15' radishes and 15' of lettuce.

Had to scavenge the last of my chicken wire to keep the hens out. "hey, what's the old rooster doing over there?" :D

Then the rainstorm came - what a lightning show!

Here is my first ever baby eggplant. I have never grown it as Hubby says that it makes the roof of his mouth itch :rolleyes: . I think he has just never had it prepared well :lau
 
My first official harvest tonight.

We had spinach salad with a few radishes and some boiled eggs and cheddar cheese shreds. Topped with hubby's habanero spiced vinegar dressing.

Grew the spinach and radishes in patio pots. ;)

That sounds like it just might be something good to try. :)
 
It is best when given a chance to mellow some. Right at first ... WOW!! :somad (flames, but not mad ones! :lol: )
