Been so wet here, I couldn't take seeing my turkeys walking around in mud covering their feet. So I bought some winter wheat staw bales 4 for $20. I wanted hay but he was all out. It has some big seed heads and it's nice to see the turkeys scratching trough it and eating it. They are out of the mud now to - so mission accomplished :) I'm quite sure my Turkeys appreciate dry feet also.

That's nice! :) No more mud and something fun for them to do. Win-win.

Will they set? Poults in your future? Got an incubator?

My turkeys are super shy sitters. They like to think they are hidden and when you make eye contact they get off the eggs. But they come back to them after a few minutes. I don't have an incubator, Yes they sit and hatch out but the are aweful mothers so I have to raise the poults myself. I'm just a turkey learner, there's not much info on raising them to help guide me.
