Uses for acorns

Witetail deer love White Oak acorns. So do goats if you have goats. Pigs have been mentioned as well. Most ruminants will eat them. I guess cows would as well...never tried it or actually seen them eating them though. My goats LOVED them!

I think ducks eat acorns. Maybe you could fatten up some ducks.

Oooh!! I have ducks now! I will try this Maybe that can be a new child "consequence" for bad behavior now that bean picking is petering As in, "Stop fighting with your sibling or you will have to go pick a pail of acorns!!"
