Okay so I put a whole chicken(store bought) in the crock pot to cook it down and get some broth and meat out of it to make a couple of dishes out of. And to work my way up to processing our own meat since I had never even cooked a whole store bought chicken; only pieces of them...
(For the record I know how to cook a turkey
)
Due to our life being more hectic than I would like, I was unable to make the dish on the day that I had planned..so I said oookay I will have to make it tomorrow.....and left it in the crockpot on low...
The next day...the same thing happened...life too hectic, I can't get this bird torn apart in the time that I have etc etc...sooo he stayed in the crockpot another day....at that time I am thinking, surely the part of him that is submersed in water has liquefied lol
So now we are two full days out and one morning, and there is a whole chicken that completely fell apart when we DUMPED it out of the crockpot, and the bones are crumbling as I am picking them out....
uhhh can we still eat this chicken? It tasted fine.....
ETA: Yes I'm serious
