Yeah, FC, it was nasty cold & wet all morning...walking the dogs was FUN ( :rolleyes: ), I can tell you...& the chickens wouldn't come out of the coop (I had the heat lamp on for them, :) ).

Tonight I have to cover the radishes, lettuce, & peppers - we're having a freeze! It's waaaaay too early for that!!! :tongue
 
I know 2bz---it seems very early for these cold mornings.....I gotta move more South :P :P

this morning was the first real frost with everything covered in frost....everything. looked out and I thought it snowed for something sinister like that! ;)


ugh, cold out but nice thing about NC is by early afternoon it will be beautiful outside! :)



soap works as usual which is almost done now since I got up early and got to that batch work.

laundry running, will hang a few things outside, towels in dryer etc as usual


went out to eat last night for Tony's Dads birthday. ugh his parents love this fish joint. fried, fried and more fried. and not that good either :P
that food is still setting on my gut this morning....so today is eating light and good and no crap....my body couldn't take it :D

Tony's Dad needs a darn hearing aid. He has been fitted a while ago but won't wear them.....geez Louise it is like talking to a friggin' brick wall....huh, huh, what? geez, come on, we got the darn technology, use it to friggin' hear. I barely talk to him anymore cause you have to look right at him and yell....haha...and I am tired of it. I figure if ya have the technology to hear, and you choose not to use it, then I say miss out on the conversations....mean, nah, just tired of it. having to 'be on guard' and worry about chatting, trying to include a person who can easily hear with hearing aids but chooses not too....but eh, maybe he has the right idea...tune everyone out HAHA


later this afternoon we will go somewhere. Usually to Mom/Dads but they are heading up to the mts for a day trip. Their friend in SC owns Fatz restaraunt chains and opened a new one in the mts and they want to visit it and see the new place....so off they go for a change of scenery. So I will load up Tony and Nicole and do something, not sure what. A few parks inthe area are boring, good for taking your horse and riding trails, but boring in the 'what people' can do dept...haha....so hmmm....thinking on what todays adventure will be????



nothing new, same old. but good thing is my same old is a great thing HAHA

Got a stinking cold. Sore throat, head clogged, ears cloggy and just tired in general. Head feels like it weighs 500 lbs LOL
been fighting it. Nicole has the small crud, but mine went further and I got a full blown stupid stuffy cold. bleck


Easy day today. usual junk. nothing dramatic.

Got a wild streak yesterday, had Tony fire up the backhoe and went down and cleaned out 2 big goat barns. I raked and shoveled and Tony dumped the full buckets out in the far pature. Took about 3 hrs of hard work and thought I would feel it in the old bones, but luckily I feel quite well this morning. Shoveling is backbreaking work to me anymore lol, but I survived. Barns are spanking clean now. New bedding down for the winter. Goats are happy :P

Sold my dog lot. The big 6ft. chainlink kennel. Thought of getting rid of it to the iron scrap but then thought, heck no I want more money LOL
got $150 for it. Those new are about $269 in my area now for the big dog lot....so that $150 buys Nicole's DSXL video game thing she wants for Xmas. So I did well on that one.

Nicole dressed up as her witch for school. they do a small trunk or treat at recess. Tonight is all about downtown. They close the road, tons of fun and churchs up on a good show with jumpy toys, music, food, fun....can't go wrong. Brrrrr tonight tho lol and heavy coats will be required. ugh

so off to get a few things done.....and taking life kinda easy today.

well Halloween was loads of fun, that day is over and onto Thanksgiving.

I cancelled out mt. trip over Thanksgiving. In the holiday season it gets too hectic some times so I thought I would just close up the camper til early early spring and take my first trip then. Tony's finger is messed up and am wondering if it will be healed by then also for setting up the rig etc.....so one of those 'kinda not worth it' trips LOL


BBBBrrrr.....darn cold out there.


My grocery has double double coupons. Will double up to $2 and would you believe I have VERY few coupons to match any of the products on sale, and the ones I can match, heck I don't use those products :th Just ticks me off I wait for these extra doubles and will get darn near nothing, but what I do buy I will buy dirt cheap :plbb


My cold is nasty. clogged up but what is worse, it feels like it is going into my chest. I got that nasty feeling while coughing. I will hold out a bit longer and if this chest feeling stays the same, off to the Dr. to get meds. I won't go down over this holiday season LOL--super tired, just kinda want to laze around.


I told Tony about the peanut butter price hike long time ago....last night he says I saw on tv they said PB will hike about 40% this week at the stores...uh, like it was new info...hahaha.


off to the store then home to work as usual. nothing exciting today actually.
 
FarmerChick! Have you tried cutting a raw onion in half and putting it beside your bed when you sleep? Couldn't hurt--except maybe the smell!

I heard that but truly I could not do it. I am not an onion fan anyway so I will have to survive without that one remedy...lol

UGH Sick but getting a tad better. wow the clogged head and sore throat were tough. Barely can talk but this morning it seems a tad better also. just chugging thru the last few days being tired. But coughing less so maybe it is moving on finally! :)


Dr. changed Tony's antibiotics to stronger ones. Says the finger is trying to get infected. huh, this finger is a pain. driving Tony nutso almost now lol.....gotta run to the pharm today and pick up the new prescrip for him.


Nothing much doing. Today is soap works. Other than some usual chores I am not planning on doing much. Only bigger project is cleaning my car. Today is supposed to be nice day out there, so car cleaning is going to happen before it gets too cold.

I can walk! WEE

leg is sore, but usable. Will go slow today. It was nasty last night and I thought for sure I would be off this leg today, but it improved. Head is sore with bump but all in all, I got thru this nasty fall OK!!!!



Booked my April trip. Savannah GA. Sightsee and relax at Skidaway State Park. $28 per night. 15 mins. down the road from Savannah.

With a kid in school I have to follow her schedule for school vacation days. So I got the last site for her spring break....last site! WOW am I glad I booked this morning LOL LOL


State parks are so reasonable. I have 2 long beach trips, 1 week in Savannah and I broke over just $500--$520 total :lol:
$158 for 5 days at Edisto Beach in Aug.
$222 for 7 days at Hunting Island Beach in July.
$140 for 5 days in Savannah in April.

I long for the future when I can fulltime RV. Sell this home...hit the road and not look back. Nicole will get the farmland. Tony and I want to travel the USA for pure freedom...and I can't wait....but I don't want to wish my life away while waiting LOL



anyway must work on soaps. I am behind. I have to make as much possible as fast as possible. Inventory is monster huge....but sales are climbing. I think this year tho I made enough to truly do well into Christmas.


so off to get some stuff done, but on slow speed LOL
