We have had problems with spammers, so a precautionary meaure the mods put in place is to block all links/uploads until you have posted a few more times. Usually spammer will sign up, and post their links. it's nothing personal, just precautionary. so welcome, and post a few more times. Serioulsy though, tapping lanut trees? I've never heard of that,--maple, birch etc, but not walnut, sounds interesting!!

Welcome!

Making my own syrup might be the only thing I don't like about living in Florida... might be... hmmm.... yep, that's the only thing I can think of! :D

You should see the price of real maple syrup here! Good grief. I never knew you could make syrup from other types of trees. Very interesting.

This brings up an idea for me. Can you tap Western big leaf maple? i have never heard of it and now wonder if it is just because of low yields.
