The cabbage was 99 cents/head and the farm market. DW brought 5 home. Medium sized but heavy and solid...dinner tomorrow night!!!!

.....and 10 lbs of sweet potatoes!!!!

I'm coming to your house for supper!!!

The cabbage was awesome....she did about 1/2 head. I ate most of it...

Wannabe....my Hubby did that about a week ago! Argh!

He did not realize that the ashes were still hot in spots and suddenly the trash bag started to smoke. Dummy.

I have a chicken question. I found a two egg nest in the corner of the coop and I only found it because she was laying in it. Never had em lay there before. Could it be a sign she may being laying a nest to hatch??

Do you know where she is the pecking order?

I think she is near the top. She is the LARGEST hen I own.

Did she puff up and growl at you when you went to get the eggs from her?

I couldnt get to her. But I decided to leave the eggs (in hope for a broodiness in a couple of days) she went to roost though. Maybe she is thinking about it. This bunch has never not laid in the boxes.........

Prepping for this stank weather all day DD had NOT been keeping the chickens right while I was at work. so I had a ton of stuff to do. I gave her the stinkiest most disgusting cleaning jobs out there, and MADE her do them and DARED her to complain!!!
