I guess that makes you self-employed? Like a contractor?

IRS Tax Topics
The employee is calling it "contract labor" but after reading until my eyes won't focus on the letters...it seems that DH only fits the definition of an "employee" not subcontractor/contract labor/independent contractor....so I'm a bit confused...

The employer isn't paying taxes, how can he do that? I share in the confusion.

Oh man, :th

Are there any free tax help lines in your area? I would hate to call the IRS and open a big ol' can of worms on this one.

Can I be supportive and sympathetic that we have to do all this confusing figuring and paying? :hit

Otherwise I'm not any help on this one.

I know that when I was a independent contractor (medical transcription), we just had much, much more withheld from my husband's check (IRS suggested this) and you can call them with questions (they answered ours).
