Wannabefree...guess what I got in the mail today!?!?!?!?

yeahhhh we're all such a bunch of dorks

UGH! My mom found out I am going grocery shopping today!!! I have a VERY short list. Mom......never does. :barnie She invited herself :( Now I do not mind taking my sweet little mother places with me at all...but the problem is...she LIKES shopping. I DO NOT! :rant I won't get anything else done today. I tried to himhaw and say I dunno I may go tomorrow..yadda yadda...then she said "well, I'll just come on over and we can go at lunchtime" :th Oooookayyyyyyyyyyy......yes mom....

After the weekend with DD and 2 hours for one tiny sweater...and then the dollar store with her and her little cronie...my shopping nerves are frayed and permanently damaged to the point of serious serious shopping deficit disorder. I may have to go on disability over this :/ In fact, I may not survive. I may need therapy for YEARS even if I DO survive. PTSD is on the horizon.

MAYBE I am being a smidge dramatic, but I am having shopping anxiety lately. I just wanted to get in, and get out...now that is near impossible. I do not understand the "joy" of shopping!! I rather equate it to torture myself. Walking aimlessly through a store checking every price and looking at every item whether I can afford it or not...seems pointless and annoying. I have very distinct wants and needs...I don't need, nor do I have the desire, to go on a search for more things that I may think I want or need :barnie

At least I enjoy her company *sigh*

A "smidge"? :lau :gig I love it!

I am the same way! My grocery list is made out in the order the store is set up. In and out! No detours! :thumbsup

Unless of course J is with me. Then it's a free for all! :th

Oh see I can't take hubster to the store...he's like a kid..putting things into the cart when my back is turned, touching everything, he HAS to read the back of everything it drives me nutters  He's worse than mom :hide

She did good today :) She only stayed in the store twice as long as I did this trip :D Said something about not having much to spend when we left so it went better than I expected. She did however honk her horn at me :/ Beckoning the chaffeur with the horn is NOT cool :rant I carried her groceries to her car, being bossed the whole way while she ate an ice cream  She's so spoiled :P We did have a good time though and it wasn't quite as torturous as usual.

I used my coupons and saved about $75...which is about what I spent, so I got right at 55% off everything :D I have to go back tomorrow because they were out of one item I really needed, but are supposed to get a truck in tonight, so I'll see. I have coupons for it too...to the tune of 75% off, so that will be a fun one :D

coupons for the win!

i go through phases...
some weeks ill happily fill my day wandering round a feed store, ect just looking at all the cool stuff.
other weeks not a chance in hell...
and yet other weeks the agoraphobia and anxiety kicks in so strongly that the meer thougth of stepping into a store makes me phycially ill!

Ohhhh, I hear you about shopping with mother! Ahhhh, i am not a shopper either, but my mother and my sister....eeeeeek! Lucky for me, my daughter is like me, she hates shopping too.
