LOL! I traded some for some floor mats and huge bag of grease rags for DH to wipe his hands on The chickens and pig still have a LOT of lettuce to take care of too Then I have about 30 pounds of peppers to do tomorrow. I will pickle some, dehydrate some, and stuff some. I got the celery in the dehydrator now FINALLY! I am tired, but it has been a good day.

The neighbor down the road took quite a bit, and I tossed his chickens several heads, and watered his birds. He was SOOOO drunk! Couldn't walk. Bless his heart. We done his afternoon chores for him and he gave me a bunch of tomatoes for the help. So I have maters to do too now.

I almost had an iPhone this afternoon The neighbor went down the road and dropped her phone off the bumper of her car into the road, it like to have gotten squished. I got it just as a truck was coming that would've done a nice number on it. I took it to her daughter and tried to get rid of some lettuce, but they don't eat lettuce Ah well..

It has been a loooooooong day. I'm about ready for bed.

Well today I got jalapenos to do, beans to snap, a load of steel to haul, a kid to pick up to stay the week(niecey), ducklings to get, and a grocery store run before my coupons expire. It's a really great deal too, so I HAVE to do that one, Bryan hot dogs 50 cents a pack! We eat hot dogs like crazy in the summer as a quick meal between chores for lunch since everybody has such an extensive chore list and nobody gets to eat lunch at the same time usually. Anyway, I have that, and tomorrow is flea market with chicks, ducklings, and a couple hens I need to get shed of. I'm supposed to go get more corn from Amish dude Andy.....but I dunno if that one is happening today. I have a pretty full dance card. 30 pounds of peppers is gonna take up a huge chunk of it. I still have lettuce out the wazoo that I have to figure out where to put. The celery is ready to come out of the dehydrator, and peppers will go in there too....so I better get on it. Time to make the doughnuts

sounds like a BUSY weekend, PLEASE be carefull out there this weekend, there saying a heat indx of 110 today and not much lower tommorw or sunday!

I never got bread made. I am BEAT and mother nature is hating on me which makes it a million times worse. It's hot. I have a truck full of cucumbers, and i don't know how in the world I am going to get rid of those either. Half were really horrible looking and went straight to the pig/chickens/compost.....the other half is sitting waiting on my brain to start working and figuring out what to do with them.

I got the peppers done...about 300 poppers are in the freezer That should do us a while. Then I seeded some and sliced for sauteed peppers later. Now I'm drying 6 trays, and they are gone. I have another bunch of celery to dry after that. I don't think I will make it to the flea market tomorrow. If i do it'll be without animals and just a crap load of cukes EARLY and leave around noon. The heat is killing me. Had to use my inhaler twice today due to the humidity and dust from everything being so dry. Still no rain. I had to water the garden, and just got in from doing that a few minutes ago, just in time to see the sun go down. *sigh* Daylight to dark is getting old quick...I'm exhausted and have a full day tomorrow of things I NEED to do, but i doubt my body is going to cooperate after the week I have had. I am seriously giving thought to just staying in and doing house chores rather than fighting the heat for any reason tomorrow. I need the money, but I am just spent...and not even well spent

Sounds like you've been busy! We've been in the hospital ALL day, and come home to a missing turkey BUT THANKFULLY all went well today

*hugs* the good news is theyve dropped the max temp doen to 100 degrees instead of the 113 they were saying earlier...for tomorrow...

The heat isn't real bad so long as you have opportunity to get OUT of it occassionally.....I just couldn't catch a break today after getting the peppers done. This afternoon in the hottest part of the day i was in it after soaking in AC all morning. It just about took my butt OUT

ugh thats the worse, sometimes i think it would be better to have NO AC and deal than have AC and have to go in and out from hot to cool...
but i dont think i could live without my AC for bed...i cant sleep if im too hot!
