I'd let the hens brood if they'd stay home. Problem is they weren't raised here. I need to grow some who are raised here before I let any brood. These will be meat ducks and I'll keep the babies.

HAHAAAAAAAAAAAA I have the neighbors talked into chickens. SHE is SCARED of chickens, but wants some "yard eggs" so she wants some birds from me. We(DH and I) have been over working on their horse barn all morning. Everything has gone wrong so we are still in the very beginning stages. Don't even have it framed out yet we got posts in, but the auger slipped and one is off about 2 inches so we will have to move it before we can finish those up and start framing it out. The rest should be a breeze though.

Otherwise, I have done shopping and picked ticks off of me. The horse barn is under a bunch of Ponderosa Pines Tick haven!!! Makin me want guineas again
