Well I'm up!! I got woke up at 2 a.m.

Hubster has to be to work at 6 this morning. Guess we'll do bible study here in the quiet wee hours and maybe I can cook him a good breakfast before work. I never get to cook for him before he leaves, so TODAY I am going to cook him a nice big breakfast before sending him off
Yesterday was his day off, and he worked his tail off all day in the yard. we got the rails and steps complete on the back deck. Had to do a bit of demolition to one section(that was fun) with a hatchet and sledge hammer, and put up more permanent steps. We burned a HUGE pile of old lumber, and the cleanup effort from this past nasty winter continues. Gosh we let so much stuff go because of the weather this past year...yeesh...playing catch up is tiring!! It's starting to look presentable around here again though. I have another big pile of junk to cull out the bad stuff and strike me a match to. I also have another demolition job to complete, and house to clean out of clutter, and THEN we can call her done for a bit.
Every morning, before it gets too hot I have been going out to the garden and hoeing a row at a time. Grass is wanting to take over a few areas of course, and I am fighting it daily. The garden is looking good though. My corn is tasselling already...it's just now waist high, and tasselling.

I dunno if that is a good thing or not. I hope it is. Everyone around my area is having the same early tasselling on their corn. My mom's is doing the same, as is the neighbor up the road who stopped by yesterday and noticed ours. I NEED that corn!!! So, I am hoping early tasselling is okay

If not, well...at least I didn;t have to stick my pole beans I suppose, I just grew them some "poles" so either way I figure it's okay
DD is being a little angel since she got home..we had a pretty good round of arguing a few days ago, and I must have said something that sunk in, because I could not ask for a better child the last several days. I am rather enjoying her company, and her help. I probably shouldn't say that too loud though...

It's just weird..there has been no disrespectfulness, no arguing, and she has been so willing to help. If I go outside and start to work on something...I look up and she is right there asking what she can do so we can get it done!! I love that sweet brat..that is the old baby girl I used to hang out with. Makes me tear up a bit...I have missed her.

It may not last, but I am lovin it while it does! Teens can be SO much fun when they aren't being...well teens I guess, hormonal and rude really

She's a doll! Glad to have the old girl around

We must bake something for her daddy today(he has been hinting). She loves to cook and bake, and we have fun "tweaking" recipes together...ya know AKA adding more chocolate till she says WHOA that's a lot!

We need to do something fun though...poo on all this work business for a little while
I hope everybody has a blessed day!!!!!!!
