Thank you Rebbetzin
I need to go to grandmas today and help get her house straightened up to make room for a hospital bed. I guess he'll be home this afternoon sometime. We will all take turns staying with him and grandma. Mom can't handle things like this, so I will likely be taking her turn for her. She just turns into a nervous walking disaster when things like this come up, and she gets overexcited at the slightest thing. It wouldn't do anyone any good for her to be staying with them, so I volunteered to relieve her of her duties. Poor mom
I don't know why she's like that, but she always has been.
There are only 4 children left. I've lost 4 uncles over the years, one actually before I was born. I truly don't know how grandma does it, she's such a strong lady. So, anyway, I think between the 4 of us taking shifts, and maybe a cousin or two will help, that we can manage fairly well to have someone there around the clock. I'm not so much worried about during the day as I am someone being there at night. Most of the cousins have small and/or school age children and work regular day jobs, so there is only a handful of us capable of working it into our schedule. I guess we'll figure out who does what today. I honestly don't expect to have to do it long though
He is so sick I doubt he'll last till the end of the week. He may suprise me though, he's a tough one for sure and has already been through more than I thought he could pull through. At least in the end he'll be surrounded by his family. None of us are biologically linked to him, but when he was ever asked how many children he had...he said 7(those still alive when he married my grandma), and 19 grandchildren, always, without so much as a thought otherwise
Now he also has about 20 great grandchildren too
Blood does not a family make. Joe was loved by all of us. He'll pass as a rich man indeed. So to Joe, I hope the next life will be as rewarding for him as this one has been.

I love my family

Stupid teenagers :/ She's lucky we like her enough to keep letting her live here

What ever happened to taking care of each other...even when Joe was in the nursing home, even when my other grandmother was in the nursing home, it was ONLY because of their medical requirements the family could not have possibly kept up with. But ya know what?! We had a schedule to sit with them in the nursing home and would rotate family members to stay overnight and during the day, it was our responsibility, and NOBODY took it lightly. For someone who wiped our butts and busted them when we got out of line...I think we owe them MUCH more respect. Yeah it's a litle trouble, and when their mind is going isn't the easiest thing to see, but crap...I guess we were just perfect little angels that took care of ourselves growing up and were never a bit of trouble?! For folks who dedicated their lives so that we could have a great start, we ARE OBLGATED TO HONOR THEM
I dunno where some folks get off just throwing our living heritage in a hole because it seems to bothersome to do whats right by them.
