Oh Deb, I know what you mean hun. I guess we kinda got off on a bit of a tangent there. I do know sooooo many folks who'd just report and let the owners worry over it. That's a tough spot to be in, having been on both sides of the bite so to speak. Anyway, I'll just keep an eye out. I will get them to shw the paperwork, and discuss it further. Today I was just too stankin busy to worry with it, and i could tell it made her feel really bad. She looked like she was gonna cry.

thats why you tell the doctor it was a stray dog and it bit you and ran off before you could get a good look at it...
they can then treat you as nessicary without getting the neighbor involved lol. (ive had friends do that in the past to avoid aditional trouble (especially when they got bitten for stupid things like teasing the dog or trying to use a yard as a cut through ect...)

Not around here it wouldn't. They'd want you to get the shots since it was an unknown dog and we've had problems w/rabies around here.

At least your neighbor was upset. I've had times when the owner didn't think any thing of it, and more or less just try to laugh it off. That's when you feel like hitting them or reporting them.

oh id have no problem taking the post exposure rabies if there was any doubt about the dog having its rabies cert...
i actually knew a lot of vector species rehabbers a few years back who did that o they could get their rabies shots...to do vector spcies you have to be UTd on your rabies...but there was a shortage a few years back and they were refusing to do pre-exposure, so some vetor rehabbers would go out get injured, head to the ER and claim stray dog bite or cat ect...
tada, rabies shots and they couldcontinue working with vectors.
im due my rabies but insurance wont cover pre-exposure lol

I got a lot to do today. Ugh....seems like that's always my opening sentence :/ I gotta take jail boy his undies, and pick up some more cantalopes for the animals. I need to get my tire fixed, and a spare done, get my eye doc visit out of the way, and eat lunch with niecey girl before she hunts me down and drags me to her school by the ear The child has been begging, and I have promised, so I must, IF I can make it in time. Now that my help is gone, it's just making things harder, but I'll pull through and get the job done eventually on my own. My list just keeps growing, and I am getting tired-er lol! Anyway....I gotta feed the animals and get my butt in gear.

Girl, I log on sometimes just to see what's going on on the "As Selmer turns" show. I swear, you are the busiest person I know. I get tired just thinking about all the running you do every day. Hope the dog bite is better today. I agree with the others too... you are a good neighbor.

Kudos for helping the person in Pinson get home. Glad you got your piggies too. You do know any time you need to - you can use our boar to breed your sows if you need an unrelated boar.

LOL farmboy I needed that laugh It has been another all day weird day. I somehow managed to get roped into taking the truck from the shelter to the tire shop too today. They had picked up two roofing nails from somewhere. I picked out my new glasses, got the neighbors sportcoat dry cleaned to return it today, and hauled a load of cantalope out to the Amish to split with them.

Thanks for the offer on the boar brother! I may do that....or I may just have a lot of sausage coming

I'm not done today. I have a pregnant sow on the loose AGAIN She is pure freakin evil I tell you Soon as them babies are weaned she is off to the sausage plant Since the heffer couldn't pop the gate, she went THROGUH the gate. Chain link gate is destroyed, and she is waddling her big fat hairy butt around here in the woods somewhere. I thoroughly hate that stupid pig...hate isn't even a strong enough word I still have to make bread and supper and finish feeding the pigs and other caged animals. I dunno when I'll get to rest today Stupid pig!!

I never took jail boy his stuff. I really don't want to....that's mean I know, but I don't. I hate jails, worse even than hospitals Never got done in time to get lunch with neicey girl either. If it weren't for my neighbor being in the area i would not have had anything to eat today. She brought me some chips and a soda for lunch while I waited on tires to get finished. I love my neighbors, they're so very good to me Best part about today so far....is getting that bag of chips and drink Pitiful huh?

I gotta get on it, or i'll never get done!!!!!!!!
