I have lots of willow here and have thought about making a few baskets. It's been decades since I did any real weaving, though. I use to make wicker baskets a lot when I was younger. Ex-husband tossed all of my tools, though, because he didn't know what they were so he decided they were trash. He did that to a lot of my stuff. I mean really, who tosses a mallet and giant needles as trash.

My degree was supposed to be in Basket Weaving But like most things in life, it turned into something else.

I have a lot of willows around here I would like to do away with also. Can't find a use for the other than firewood.

Goats like kudzu. Read somewhere it had a fair amount of protein as an animal feed source. But that may be seasonal, as some forage does change it's makeup with weather. Fortunately none around here. Yep, it can takeover!!

The classic hedge fence is hawthorn. It gets so thick even tanks couldn't break through it during WWII

In TN. we call it bow dock . It makes a good long bow.
