wood floors all around except for a little bit of floor tile in a small utility room and the front entrance.

pretty easy to keep up (we don't wear dirty shoes in the house and we don't let people track dirt in and the floor will last longer than you will).

we've been here nearly 30yrs and it hasn't needed any refinishing or polishing. we just keep it dusted once in a while and if we spill something on it we get it cleaned up before it can cause problems.

the amount of issues we both have from dust and stuff in carpets that gets kicked up when they are vaccumed we rarely have any troubles here. i also don't miss the noise.

75% Tile kitchen living room hallways baths all tile office & library wood. Tile with very thin grout lines looks like it did when it went in 23 yrs ago. Wood looks very good to with some minor wear in office. Bedrooms have carpet and it looks overdue for replacement ... that will be wood or tile as well no more carpet anywhere. We will just get an area rug where it makes sense ...
