WHAT ARE YOU CANNING TODAY?

Got started early this morning. I bought 5 pineapples on sale the other day for .99. I dehydrated two, made jam out of one, and canned the other two in a light syrup this morning. I got 8 1/2 pints and 5 pints of pineapple tidbits. Tempted to go back and get more at that price. Maybe...
 
our local most favorite chinese place to eat has sweet and sour sauce made from pineapple juice (and other things too) and of all of them i've tried over the years they're still the one we like the best.

last week we went for a lunch and one of the nephews was able to join us and he doesn't really like sweet things but he said that he really liked that sauce.

many years ago i asked the owners for the recipe and they gave me the quick verbal version of it. just in case they ever go out of business. we've been going there over 50yrs now...
