What are you harvesting now?

As the title says, what are you harvesting from the garden now? Show off your produce!

Nothing.

But I will have a much better garden next year.

Well.... somebody forgot to tell my garden that it's NOVEMBER! So, in the last week or so I've picked a handful of green beans, about 3 eggplants, a butt-load of okra and a yellow squash. And, out behind the barn I have this hugmongous unidentified winter squash plant that has taken over an entire pen and has a few giant round things developing on it. I don't know what this plant is cuz I forgot what I planted. It has had a hard time getting going. It must have started at least a hundred (and that's NOT an exaggeration) tiny squashes that fell victim to something or other. Most of them start out about the size of a golf ball and then turn yellow and fall off the vine. However - lately it's been doing better and some of the squashes are hanging on and really developing. I'm hopeful... but not really expecting any of them to ripen before we have a frost.

Oh, and nearly forgot - the hen fruit is back in production again - yippee!

We've had a couple of heavy frost, so nothing right now. I do need to get in there and put it away for the winter.

I'm with Baymule -- NEXT year looks hopeful!

Our weather is good. See a lot of great greens in other gardens but, I have no garden Winter gardens do well here, if planted. There's the key...IF planted.

On the flip side, lots of new sprouts from spilled feeds.

I'm looking for farmers with excess pumpkins for almost free -- for chicken, goat, pig feed.

My to-do list is in the seventh volume here... and getting a garden planted next spring is on it.

Mine too. No matter where I am, I have to grow something soon.

sad but true I'm down to picking cherry tomatoes that i have in a pot by the front door. they look pretty and taste good but there isn't near enough of them.

The problem with cherry tomatoes is you either have too many, or not enough! We had a glut of them about 2 years ago in my last garden. They make wonderful sun dried tomatoes and jam!

Sumi, so true But, I love them. When working in garden I can just grab a few and munch out. I've had years when I just sent huge bowls to work with daughter for anyone who wanted them!! Now, I throw many to chickens....and piggies this yr.
