Thanks!
Times have changed. Childhood memories of Thanksgiving family meals (25+ people). Now, my kids are scattered all over with expectations from their spouses/SOs. We now get together when we can and enjoy our time together. Last year's Christmas was mid-January with pizza, chicken, and jo-jos. New traditionsThanks but, don't be sad -- we aren't. We used to have a big meal. But as our family became smaller & were all working, it became more inconvenient than fun. We all live here on my farm (separate housing) so see one another enough. We do have a meal together at Christmas...or birthdays. We just don't need or want a "buffet" anymore.
Remember that age has a bit to do with these things. My kids are 56 & 59, DGD almost 24we've had many years of meals
to cook, clean up after & reheat. Yeah, kinda "over it". Was fun when kids were young & a big family (ex hub & his siblings) to enjoy. Now we relax! Have a sandwich & a glass of wine
