What Did You Dehydrate Today?

Dehydrator loaded with a bunch of habanero and carrot peppers. When dry, DH will whiz 'em up into a powder and dust his food with it.

Picked up some strawberries yesterday. Most of them are sliced up and resting in the dehydrator now. First for me - hope it turns out well!

How'd those berries turn out?

I'm slicing apples to load up this morning and I have some plums that I'm considering. Depends on just how juicy when I cut them. I like dried fruits for snacks.

I intend to make plum jam with a few.

Quart bag of catnip yesterday. I need to do at least 2 more bags.

I like them. Next time strawberries are on sale I'll do more. DH likes SF pudding with some SF cool whip. While he had that I had some of the strawberries dipped in a little of the cool whip. Makes a nice simple snack/dessert.

I've already eaten all I did earlier guess I need a bushel to carry me thru winter snacky- snacky-!

Well I did more apple slices! 7 trays.

I will cut my comfrey leaves this week but, I air dry those. Then crush to jar up. I laid a few into my garlic containers last week -- great fertilizers, minerals. My goats love the comfrey and I give to any who might get sickly acting.

with the furnace coming on more often i'm pretty much dehydrating every day. no slicing or trays required. i better up my water drinking.
