What did you do in your garden today?

Mine are only that big if hidden....I pick them smaller

My oldest granddaughter and I we're both the same when it comes to squash. It's squash of course we're going to be eating it up.

My monster zucchini from last year. We we're eating it raw while I got it ready for the grill.

I coated it in a few dry rub BBQ blend with olive oil butter and garlic salt and Montreal steak spice, then grilled it. She ate all of it and all I got was a small taste.

Watered today. Something is eating my basil. Though nothing liked it but most of the leaves are gone. Checked for any worms or something and found nothing.
Surprised the chickens have not had the cilantro in their garden!

I have to get out and water the garden. Tried digging up potatoes with not a lot of luck. I really need to find a happy medium for potatoes, onions and garlic.

weeding, and more weeding and then we checked out the gardens and i took some onions so we can use them in chili today.

both onions and garlic will do best without a lot of competition so you need to keep after them with weeding. i'm not a potato grower so i can't say too much about them.

onions like regular watering and fairly fertile soil.

garlic seems more tolerant of conditions.

for all three it is also going to depend upon what varieties you select for your soil and your climate.

Picked a few tomatoes. Oh, glorious sandwiches this time of year! .
