I will have a late start. Waiting on an article blast starting tomorrow and should be in the minus for a few days. Then I have to go to doctor's appointments on February and march, will head to Florida for a week. Then I can come home to relax doing my regular farming and studies.

Debating the corn this summer. Last year it got eaten by animals. But darn, I love the sweet corn!

Im putting another few feet of fencing up on the posts. Then I think streamers randomly. I've thought out what it would take to build a deer scare to put out there. Small tub fountain. PVC works in place of bamboo to make the scare. Just need a battery powered fountain water pump.

I was thinking about that. I know there are deer in the area. Since it is rumored that they won't try to jump something they can't see, I was thinking of putting up flexible poles with flags on them high up. Maybe convince them the fence is that high?

They've revised our predicted low for Tues/Wed lower. FOURTEEN degrees! Can I quit winter now?

they've raised Tues night low two degrees to -4F... high of 17F predicted for today. i do not care to go out and check myself so i will take their word for it. :) keep warm and safe! i'm glad i do know how to get by if i do need to go outside but also have the option of not going out at all.

Deer won't try to jump over a fence when they can't see what is on the other side of it. I put up an 8' tall fence around my garden. It kept them out.
