What did you do in your garden today?

Got the first set of plants for the pending butterfly hummingbird garden today. Now if it would stop raining for 3 or 4 days

based upon what i'm seeing on the radar and the forecast this coming week it doesn't look like that is nature's plan, but who knows? perhaps it can surprise us?

i have two e-books lined up just in case. it turns out our library just reloaded some e-books and two of them are the next two books in a series i'm reading. not expected this, but i'll take it...

It's a start for the new flower garden

Did a single charge worth of string trimming after work. Hit or miss storms rolling through. Got one bed planted with my new asparagus crowns and some oak leaf lettuce sown before the sprinkles started. Storms passed to the south of us today and currently north of us. Hopefully the bed will get soaked.

My summer has started...

looking good for the next several days with no rain until next Tuesday in the forecast. first thing i'm doing is getting some peas planted today. of course next week we have 2 days forecast to hit the 80s (so far).

some nights still cold though down to nearly freezing in the forecast. will hold off on even the early beans for a week or two.
