i got out enough to check on the peas and bean plantings. the peas are poking up and i gave all of them a few rounds of water just in case we didn't get any rains tonight. looks like i may just about to be rained on. we'll see/hear...

They are supposed to be deer adverse.

The only plant that I have found that the deer will not eat is Catmint.

I'd left the tiny root remnants of the rat eaten horseradish in the pot. There was enough left that I have leaves up. I'll be repotting them

Rats like horseradish?? Who knew? It can be very spicy.... Glad enough root base left to grow.

Here, only hopes for a garden too wet to till. Hay field across street is getting over ripe -- it'll be stemmy. Most farmers got corn in 3 wks ago & it's loving this weather!! Good for that.

Rain Friday and Saturday has the garden beds too wet to mess around in. Sunchokes and taters I planted are up, though

I'm throwing in the towel. I'm going to plant. My seed starts are getting desperate to be put into the ground. We can't get above 66 and its 40's at night. But my greenhouse is a jungle, so its time to clean it out, regardless of the overcast and rain for days.

They should survive well they're stronger than you think. Go for it! Been so wet her, can't till. But I'm looking hard at a few containers.

I have a quarter of the total butterfly garden footprint ready to go. Want to get the plants we bought previously into the ground next weekend. Starting small, but trying to keep moving

I did place a cheap little feeder for the hummingbirds in the garden yesterday, just to see if I am thinking correctly. Wife spotted one little hummingbird using it this morning....happy happy

Oh! A bluebird pair has taken up nesting in a dilapidated bird house I was planning to take down. It's near the seed feeders, so I need to get those moved ASAP
