Im in Washington near Tacoma. We needed to be near a base when hubby retired.

Family is mostly in Hermiston and Stanfield. Yes that's close to Pendleton. It's where I grew up. The two Walchli farms were my two great Uncles' places. Great aunts are still around. Watermelons are a big deal

You may know the Olson's. He was a teacher and his wife an admin at the school district for Umatilla County or Herminston, not sure. So long ago.

there's an Erik Olson who teaches at Umatilla now. Im not sure if he taught when I was there. I don't remember him. Maybe my brothers had him though. The last name is familiar like I went to school with someone with that last name.

For someone to have even heard of Umatilla does make for a small world. And not the Florida city that is named after the Oregon one which is named after the Tribe.

Once Hubs refurbishes the old bumper pull trailer we bought, I'd like to explore that area down there.

I tilled up the entire 56 x 106 with a troybuilt pony, pony whooped me, I got my exercise for the day. But it's done so gardening can begin. I did leave a couple spots that have red romaine volunteers but we'll eat those this week probably.

I don't remember their first names right now. They are part of an ugly past,lol Visited twice but really didn't like it. Last I went was for a legal filing in Pendleton. But don't remember much. The name Erick doesn't ring any memories. Oh, the old man's name is Alton Olson and has been retired for a few years. He taught vocational i think. He did a lot of wood work to include toys and then gave to children of families in need. They belongto a Seventh Day Adventist church up in a hill somewhere. The live in their same last name road. They used to have cattle back then but not sure anymore. They have a son and a daughter named Melissa and Tracy. That's all i remember.,lol oh well.
