Okay, worked around the mud. Got some peppers and Brussel Sprouts planted. Didn't get to the tomatoes. May not plant any of the seeds I usually plant in earlier May.

In other news, the butterfly garden is now completely dug out and about half planted. Pictures later, I am exhausted.

planted a row of beans, weeded some pathways, started turning the ex-strawberry patch, not done yet, will have to finish that up tomorrow and will hope to have it planted Monday. was dumping weeds on the weed pile and heard a noise that made me look closer and find out what it was. another groundhog. it could not get out the fence back there easily so i was able to come back to the house and get the air rifle and then go back out to hunt it. they are not very smart and can't see that great so RIP poor critter. :(

I roll with it, plans change. We had planned to get the last of the butterfly garden plants Saturday. Wife was out getting meds, so she got them this afternoon, plus some others for around the coming patio. Everything addressed except two not planted because the center of the bed was too muddy.

None of the elderberries are big...well slightly bigger in a good year. Our July 2024 was super dry for area & some elderberries didn't form much. I don't have reds here, just black. So last yr I didn't harvest any. Plenty canned & frozen, so no big deal. I collect & process but don't use much. :idunno about 10 qt berry&juices canned. Crop looking good so far for '2025. Might try to use up canned & replace with this yr.

How do you use yours, everyone who harvests??
