Did nothing in the dirt but, looked at 2 seed sights. . NOW the adds showing on the site are -- veg seeds! What a challenge for buying what I don't need more of
Sat down with my Baker Creek Heirloom Seed catalog this morning with a hot cup of coffee. Wife insisted I order something, so I picked out about a half dozen things. Lol, radishes, onions, and cabbage. My German roots are showing. Did check the every expanding contents of the seed box first.
Need to figure out a low cost/maintenance option for keeping the deer out of some cucumbers and melons I really want to grow.
Went through my other recently arrived seed catalogs. Resisted the urge to splurge. Plenty to do already. The little watermelon like cukes might be good for pickling, but, as before, I need a containment strategy.
So far, no new catalogs here. Could be I ordered none to few last yr? After all, no garden happened. I did buy a few packs at Dollar Gen, end of this season, at $.05 a pkg-- long time seed, Detroit beets, some marigold, etc That's it for me. I plan to garden but, my seed box is into way more than I can plant Like me, they're getting older! So germination decreases but enough will start for a big garden, no doubts there.
