Recently I had a weak moment and bought a "crop cover" to try, once again, to grow some bug free tomatoes. I wanted to get it assembled and into place today, so I got started on it. It wasn't terribly hard to put together, even though I wonder about its sturdiness. Time will tell, I guess.
So:
Step one - put the frame together.
Step two - plant tomatoes inside frame before putting the screen cover on.
Step three - Mulch tomatoes before putting the screen cover on. (this step requires bringing in a large quantity of hay from the barnyard and using the garden cart to transport it)
Step four - had to shovel out the load of wet dirt that was residing in the cart waiting to be unloaded.
Step 5 - rest! Wet dirt is heavy!
Step 6 - gathered hay and filled cart
Step 7 - milked while I was out there
Step 8 - brought hay and milk into garden area
Step 9 - brought milk into house to strain and refrigerate
All that was just to work on the crop cover and get tomatoes in the ground. Geeze Louise! Still not finished. Gonna guzzle some liquid and then get that tomato bed mulched
Step 10 - Get the screen cover on
Step 11 - Get the crop cover tied down
