What did you do in your garden today?

it has been too cold here still for planting out tomatoes or peppers but perhaps next week we'll be closer to warm enough. overnight temperatures down to 40F is still a bit chilly.

i was hoping to be planted in one garden by now but that is not going to happen today so perhaps tomorrow it can finally get done.

with the recent bit of rain i should be able to get some gardens scraped and weeded in the next few days.

My neighbor's kiddos just told me a cute little joke. Why was the strawberry mad? Because it's head was stuck in a jam.

Sunchokes are exploding in growth. Asparagus looking weak. Seeds planted in the pots have not sprouted yet.

Forgot I had a bunch of flower seeds to get started. Should've done that 2 months ago. Oops. Was a little preoccupied with the wife's issues.

Going to get replacement plants for the butterfly garden. About 1/3 of last year's plants succumbed to the bitter cold and wonky spring. Trying to decide if I want to buy any veggies or now. Beds are still very wet.

Maybe buy veggies & keep in pots for a couple of weeks -- before plants are all gone.

After our welcome rain, still in cool, dreary, wet mode. That fine! Still some off & on drizzles. It's adding up, staying in the ground -- we were getting desperate for rain!! Seems this front stays thru Mon.

I was able to plant about 20 more starts yesterday. Being away for 8 days did not do any justice to the starts in the greenhouse. I'm going to try to get the rest in today, before the rain arrives on Monday.

Ive given up for this year. My knees arent healing fast enough to get plants out, much less till. Just a few potted things.
