What did you do to be/become more self-reliant today?

They quickly get over it and forget all about it. Pat yourself on the back, you did good.

I'm not SURE if using craigslist is more self-reliant or cost creating. :p I have gotten some killer deals and on flip side, I tend to want to buy things -- that are good deals -- that I don't need/have time to use right now.

Lately I have begun to keep a pad of paper to jot down the contact info & items, next to computer. Then, I let those items sit for a day before I reply. This makes me consider if it is a thing I will really use NOW -- or don't already have something else that will do as well for "whatever" it was. This has worked well for me, so far. Impulse can be good & bad. I've saved some money and re-purposed things here!

I am waiting for a reply on a 10X20 greenhouse right now. But have several uses--not ALL for greenhouse-- for it and it IS a killer price! Will see how that goes. Would like to buy it.

Since it's 21 degrees today, 11 degree with wind chill, I'm hoping not many are wanting it. Two wks ago it was 70 out & week before we had 6" of snow. Will be 30 out all week.

Greenhouses are very handy to have around… Just saying…. ;)

I need to get new plastic for mine.

I just need to get one, lol. Actually, I don't need a green house, I need a screen house. Better get on Craigslist and get to looking.

Can you maybe find a bunch of old screen doors, windows, etc. that people are junking and make something w/them?

I like the way you think @Denim Deb When we were down in Co Cork still we found a guy who fitted windows for a living. He'd rip the old ones out, frames and all and take them home where he'd dump them in a pile... DH and I looked at the pile as we walked past one day and both said, now there is a greenhouse waiting to be assembled, right there!

I learned how to texture drywall(and make it look good). I tried a knock-down type that should look like aged venetian plaster when it is all done. Less than 1/4 done. Thank goodness it's a small room!
