Grab some to dry for the chickens!!!! No need in letting it go to waste!

I was rounding up donkeys for RU yesterday and noticed a bunch of corn on the ground they missed when they cut the field. I'm thinking I need to go in and get some for the chickens.

uh, yeah, glean away! :D

20 dozen ears for us in process right now, DD#2 is setting up the work station in the kitchens. ;) DS is out now gleaning more for for his hens. We'll just dry them on the shelves in top of the coop.

didn't make a dent in the field, we are even being "picky" and taking only the biggest ears. :hide

I saved about $30 by using my smartphone to get an online coupon! Of course, I'm technology challenged so the cashier had to walk me through the process - but hey $30 is $30 and well worth the 5 minutes or so that it took to do it!

I recieved my 25 pound bag of quinoa and food saver bagged it and stowed it away in a bucket. Then I cooked some for supper with the pork roast gravy to put over it! Yummy! :drool With shipping, it came to $85. I found some for $66, but the freight was almost $40!! Oh, and I ordered and recieved quinoa seed to plant in the spring.....we'll see how that turns out.

He picked over 30 dozen for the chickens.....

At the going rate here of $3 per dozen, we got $150 worth of corn for the price of our labor.
