Is he a coffee drinker? Coffee has bronchodilators, similar to asthma drugs. My sister has severe asthma. She lands in the hospital once or twice a year because of it. She started drinking coffee after her last hospital stay, and says it does help control her asthma.

Totally forgot about coffee
