What's for dinner?

Not dinner, but snacks. I use a small glass dish about the size of Chinese take out trays (5×7?)

@frustratedearthmother i think we discussed these a long while ago, but I have climbed completely back up on the bandwagon

How do you cook figs?
Easy. A nice ripe fig, cute into quarters, not all the way, it makes a "cup" that you fill with some fresh goat cheese....top with a touch of honey, bake a short time. Or, stew figs, put into jars, can. Use in sauces or cakes, muffins, etc. Of course, there's jam.

You'll me looking for ways once those trees start bearing. They are very, very, very productive!!

grilled pork loin at a friend's place along with a crab, cheese and onion appetizer and other goodies, corn on the cob, fresh steamed green beans, broccoli, cauliflower and carrot salad (with onion dressing), strawberries with blueberries, dessert was chocolate pie. since they were heading out of town they made sure to load us down with leftovers. we don't get to see these friends often enough so it was a nice evening. :)
