We have it in March every year because it's the only time I can find corned beef at the grocery store and not have to make a special trip somewhere lol!

That too! The stores always have it here in March. I think it might be traditional St. Paddy's day fare. Maybe @sumi knows more about that?

I like salt, lol. I have low blood pressure so salt and I are friends . I never used to be a fan of corned beef but I guess I got used to it.

I love salty stuff too...shame on me I know. But, my bp is fine so I indulge! I'm definitely going to be picking up a piece of corned beef in a week or so for St. Paddys day. My mother's b'day was March 17 and we always did corned beef for her b'day.

FWIW, some of the reading that I've done says: Blood pressure is not necessarily linked to salt intake. Some folks do get hypertensive with increased salt intake, while others could eat a LOT of salt without any change in B/P.

Leftover from Christmas turkey soup, pressure canned of course -:lol. I named this turkey tom Christmas and man he is delicious even canned.
