Here's a problem. 😵‍💫 Take things from freezer. Cook it. Then you need freezer space for those leftovers. :old 😁 yeah. Sometimes I am able to can the stuff. Rarely is it totally eaten, even sharing.

So bulk sized buy & cook isn't always space saving, just time saving. Plus...any more cheese will need to be hard variety, to chill, not freeze. Full. Have empty jars, still able to can.

So I started my winter "don't buy" season a month early.

carrot cake last night, the frosting was cream cheese and not very sweet at all. it might not even have had any powdered sugar in it at all. Mom said that she couldn't taste the cream cheese in the last ones she made (i thought they were perfect as they were). the carrot cake yesterday was made to go out the door in the morning but my brain doesn't do mornings very well and i didn't see it in the fridge at all so it never made it into the trunk of the car.

when i came in from picking beans there were phone calls wondering if she'd left the carrot cake on the top of the car or what... well..., or what. :) so it was dinner for both of us when she got home. then zonked out early and then up early now. nice and quiet. :)
