DH had chili and I had a bacon/tomato sandwich. Crazy thing is that my cherokee purple tomatoes that I planted in spring are still producing. The earlier ones were inundated with stink bugs despite my best efforts. There are still a few bugs around (but just a few) and I'm able to trim out any bad spots. I'm getting tomatoes ya'll! So, excited!!!

Baked sweet potato. Since I didn't cook a big meal yesterday, missing leftovers.

Plus...on sale for $.25 a#. So 11# purchased. Still a lot canned but these will hold me for winter. Love them baked from raw. Missing my butternut squashes I usually raise. 🙄 2026 is coming! Garden time this year. Found more misplaced seed.

People! I'm back on my diet today so ya'lls descriptions of deliciousness are driving me crazy!!! I'm hangry...

i haven't stepped on the scale in two months and did so today. i've mostly been pretty good the last month as in twice Mom has brought home donuts and other times ice-cream and i've mostly avoided all of those extra calories. i was a bit surprised to see my weight has remained stable but with this fall transition into winter i know that on days when i'm not doing much exercise outside that i have to back off on how much i eat and it is getting easier as i adapt to the colder weather.

the next thing i need to do is get some regular exercise going inside even if it is only a half hour a day Tai Chi warmups and some strength exercises it will help.

i had several snacks but not much of anything like a meal until later in the evening when i had half a ham sandwich.
