Fried up, it can be tasty! 😁 Maybe fried bologna.
Every time we went camping when I was a child we had fried spam, potatoes and onions. Cooked in cast iron skillet, over an open flame - nothing better! I occasionally still crave it and when I do - I have it.

Also had lots of fried bologna back in the day - couldn't afford bacon. Mom would make little slices in a couple places along the edge so it would lay fat in the frying pan. A slice of fried bologna and a fried egg on a piece of toast for breakfast and we thought we were in high cotton, lol.

I remember going to the old country store with grands -- we were visiting & took them as they had no car & only walked several miles there or hitched a ride -- anyway! They only had bologna on a big roll. You bought a chunk, (wrapped in butcher paper) & pd by weight...same with those big cheese rounds. Weren't any bags of different types, sliced, shredded, etc 🤣 Nope. This is it -- buy or not. And always flour in 50# sacks. Memories 😊

Back in the 70's I worked in a little country store in our little rural town. There was still a meat counter where we had those big rolls of bologna, blocks of cheese, and fully cooked summer sausage. We had a big ol' slicer that would sure take off your fingers if you weren't careful. I would slice a lot of bologna and cheese and sell a bunch of that summer sausage to the workers from the rice fields to have for their lunch. The bologna and cheese was good, but that summer sausage was absolutely delicious!

Dad loves hot dogs and vienna sausages. Generally they were only bought for camping or hunting. Mostly we ate stew or fried things when camping. Stew meat with veggies, steaks, fish. That stuff.

Husband didnt believe me when I warned him before camping with my parents that he would have to catch breakfast.

I love that!

Dinner is gonna be smoked, bbq'd chicken thighs. I lit the fire (small miracle some time) and got some smoking chips on it and I'll hope for the best. For me, chicken on the barby can sometimes be tricky. If so I'll likely finish it in the oven.
