there's three large pots of potato soup to pick from for today's dinner later on. one pot is vegetarian (without ham chunks from ham steaks).

as usual when Mom gets them mostly cooked she has me taste them because she doesn't like spices and so i usually have to recommend some added salt, garlic salt or ... so others will find them more normally palatable. all three needed some garlic salt. i never add as much as i would like of garlic and spices because most people don't want that much. i keep the vampires away...

Had a couple chicken breasts too many from the canning....soooo, chicken dinner! Braised some chunks, removed & sauted onion & garlic. Added a pint of home canned chicken broth, then rice. Let rice almost finish, added chicken back in. Tossed some frozen peas on top. Shortly after about 5-6 shakes of soy sauce, stirred & had one pan dinner. Now a couple heat & eats left. 👍 Chinese sorta 😊

Homemade no salt meatball subs. They are actually quite good. I sprinkled a bit of salt on one meatball to try and I could make the same recipe with the real salt for normal people. Hubby is hooked on them so I'm going to have to get more pork to grind
