Did this come up already? I was shocked when I went to our little local market to buy a turkey. Our daughter is cooking one for our family dinner (she already had one in the freezer), but I thought I'd grab one for later in the season.

I didn't buy one. The el cheapo ones were $0.99 a pound! The one we got last year didn't taste all that good, either. The Butterball's were $1.29 a pound. I couldn't believe it.

How much are they in your area?

At one store here, with a $50 purchase a Butterball frozen turkey would be .69 per pound, or a Jeanie-O frozen turkey would be .29 per pound. (I opted for the Jennie-O.)

Saw them for $0.69. In the one store w/$300 spent over a month's time, you can get one for free. Or, you can get a ham. I'm getting the ham.
